About Packrell Labs
Packrell Labs Inc. is a retail analytics company based in Maitland/Winter Park, Florida. We build the hardware and software that turn what happens in a physical store, and what happens online, into one set of numbers a business can act on.
How our technology works
Packrell builds three things that work together. The first is PL-SENSOR-01, a wide-lens camera that works as a sensor. One unit can cover part of a store, or several can be grouped to cover a wide area. We build new units for every location we serve.
This is not facial-recognition technology. The sensor is a camera, much like a standard security camera, and it does not recognize faces or identify anyone. Nobody at Packrell has access to live camera footage remotely. The video never leaves the store. It is processed and stored locally, and only aggregated data, like foot traffic and how long people spend in each area, is sent to Packrell's servers.
Our proprietary machine-learning algorithm, PL-ALGORITHM-01, combines that in-store data with data from your website, online store, and marketplaces. Our team reviews the results and turns them into specific suggestions, which you see in your dashboard, PL-DASHBOARD-01.
We build and install everything ourselves. Production takes 3 to 5 days, and installation 2 to 3 days, depending on travel. Florida is our pilot state, and we install nationwide on request. Our first-generation products are in prototyping now. You can read more on our products and pricing page.
A message from our founder
When I started Packrell Labs, I made myself one promise: don't try to reinvent the wheel. The wheel already works. Reinventing it would be ego, not progress. I'd rather make the wheel better: stronger, faster, able to carry more and go farther with less.
